Tea Dueling
a steampunk parlor game

Unwoman "Bitter Venus"
lyrics by Khurt Khave
Of course, I love steampunk, and trouncing fools in tea dueling is a
splendid pastime, but my greatest passion is music. A favorable
circumstance emerged to combine two of those favorite things.
The solo musical artist Unwoman is a vibrant performer and she
has been embraced by the steampunk community. She had a
Kickstarter project in 2013 and one of the rewards for supporting
the project was that she would record a song or poem of yours;
only a limited number of this reward was available.
I have commissioned artwork in the past, but never music. I have
performed this song, Bitter Venus, but I always felt that it needed
a female voice. So when this unique opportunity arose, I seized it.
Though it is technically a demo/rough version, I think she has done
a tremendous job and I love her take on the song.
The lyrics are simple but their message is not. I have had many
friends and family members victimized by abuse (physical,
emotional, psychological) and no one should have to endure such
treatment. For those of you with delicate sensibilities, the song
does contain the f-word.
It is available to download freely, to share if you wish. You can
